Lumina has been expanding and we have recently created a new position of Head of Professional Services. We are delighted to introduce Robin Minto, who has just joined us in this new role.
Before coming to us, Robin worked in financial services in the City for more than 20 years, working at companies with a global presence such as JP Morgan, Barclays and RBS. Through his career he has been a senior program manager, portfolio manager, and most recently worked as the Head of IT and Business Strategy in a city firm.
His work has taken him around the world, and he has worked on projects in Russia, China, the UAE, South America and the USA.
Robin took the decision to move away from multinational companies to work for Lumina because of the opportunities the new role will offer him. The new post is an exciting proposition and he sees it as having two main domains: looking after customer projects, standards and governance; and researching and developing new technologies in order to help clients evolve.
He said: “For me, it is about building long-term partnerships with clients, and this means giving them the reassurance they are in a safe pair of hands. We need them to trust the team has the experience, education and training to implement the right cutting edge innovation that will benefit their business.”
Keeping body and mind active
Although he already has qualifications from the Chartered Management Institute, Robin has recently gone back to learning with a double masters degree – one in Project Management, the second in Business and Organisational Strategy. He is a great believer in exercising both the mind and the body and encourages his team as well as his two children to do the same. He believes you should always strive to be a better version of yourself and you cannot do that by standing still.
In the free time he has left, Robin goes to the gym and spends time with his family, He also supports his sister’s fundraising when she takes part in Race for Life. Now he is part of the Lumina family, we hope to get him involved in some of our own charity fundraising too!
