On Saturday, 14 May our MD Richard McBarnet went to the Hospice of St Francis’s Spring Ball which was held at the RAF Museum in Hendon. The museum is the only one in Britain which is dedicated wholly to aviation. The museum itself has over a hundred planes which provides a unique and exciting backdrop for black tie events like this one.
Richard said: “It was a wonderful evening in a fantastic setting, dining under the wings of the iconic Lancaster bomber, and all the planes in the museum made a wonderful backdrop for photos of the guests.”
Supporting local people is one of the core values of the company, so as both the corporate sponsor of the Hospice, as well as being an individual volunteer, Richard is “very proud to be able to support all the work they do. And to have been part of such an enjoyable evening which raised thousands of pounds for a worthy charity was the icing on the cake of a great night.”
The Hospice of St Francis
The Hospice of St Francis is a charity that gives support and care to people with life limiting illnesses. The aim of staff is to help people live life to the full, for whatever time they have left, to bring them peace, comfort and dignity.
There is no charge for any of the services the Hospice provides. It gets 20% of its funding from the NHS, which means the rest of the money comes from charity fundraising events, like the Spring Ball.
